MotorNuts history

In 1965 Great Granddad MotorNuts set up a car acessories shop in Darwen, Lancashire.

Starting out life as a small shop the business soon grew, expanding and diversifying - adding a garage and workshop to meet the needs of its customers.

Today 50 years on it is still the go to place for anything car related. Customers know that they can pop in and find exactly what they need and ask the friendly bunch anything about anything under the bonnet.

In 2008 now run by Father and Son team Ian and Simon (still under the watchful eye of Great Granddad) they saw the opportunity to take the shops extensive range of products beyond the local market and so launched their fisrt e-commerce store.

After seeing the initial success and potential the team revitalised the site adding thousands more products and called upon the expertise of the rest of the family adding a new mix of marketing, digital and operational experience - and MotorNuts was born.

Whilst the team (and the offices) has grown MotorNuts are still based in sunny Lancashire in the same Victorian school building with over 10,000sq feet of retail and warehouse space the shop and website run side by side.

As the business has grown and diversified to meet motorists needs it has always maintained family values at the heart with the same aim now as when it launched; to give customers quality products at the right price with expert advice.
